Tiniyak ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang sapat na energy supply ng bansa sa pamamagitan ng immediate at short-terms measures sa kabila ng mga hamong dulot ng kaguluhan sa Ukraine at pagsipa ng presyo ng krudo at coal sa pandaigdigang merkado.

Ayon kay Energy Secretary Raphael Lotilla, hindi ito nakayanan ang pagkawala ng 1,200 MW Ilijan Power Supply dahil sa pag-expire ng Malampaya gas supply agreement nito at kawalan ng alternatibong natural supply at sa Luzon grid.
