China, nananatiling matibay ang posisyon na di kikilalanin ang Arbitral Ruling na naipanalo ng Pilipinas noong 2016

Patuloy na hindi kikilalanin ng bansang China ang Arbitral Ruling na naipanalo ng Pilipinas sa Permanent Court of Arbitration noong 2016 tungkol sa mga pinag-aagawang teritoryo sa South China Sea.

Ayon sa tagapagsalita ng Chinese Embassy, labag sa United Nations Convention on Law of the Sea at international law ang naging ruling. Iginiit rin ng China na nakabatay sa kasaysayan at batas ang kanilang soberanya at interes sa South China Sea.

Inaakusahan rin ng China ang Estados Unidos na mastermind sa nasabing ruling, kung saan tinatali nito ang kamay ng mga kaalyado nitong bansa upang i-pressure at pwersahin ang China na tanggapin ang award.

Nanawagan naman ang China sa mga bansa sa labas ng rehiyon na irespeto ang kanilang territorial sovereignty, maritime rights at interes, at iwasan ang pagiging pasimuno upang guluhin ang peace at stability sa South China Sea. | ulat ni Gab Humilde Villegas
