Department of Tourism at mga ahensya ng pamahalaan, nagpulong para sa pag-reporma sa pagbibigay ng visa sa mga turista

Nagsagawa ng pulong ang Department of Tourism (DOT) at iba pang mga ahensya ng pamahalaan na kabilang sa technical working group (TWG), hinggil sa pag-reporma sa pagbibigay ng visa para sa mga turista.

Isa sa mga natalakay ay ang update sa visa reform initiatives para sa Chinese nationals, partikular sa pagtanggal ng quota sa visa application, update sa pagbuo ng e-visa system sa pagitan ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) at Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).

Gayundin ang pagpapabuti ng accreditation ng mga Chinese travel agent, at ang planong karagdagang flights sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at China.

Tinalakay rin ng TWG ang pagbuo ng panuntunan para sa group visa at e-visa para sa Indian nationals, pati rin ang reporma at digitalization initiatives na makakahikayat sa paglago ng tourism products ng bansa.

Tiniyak naman ng DFA at DICT ang patuloy nitong kolaborasyon upang masiguro na magiging matagumpay ang pag-roll out ng e-visa system ngayong taon. | ulat ni Gab Villegas
