Hinikayat ni Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian ang mga nasa pribadong sektor na makiisa para sa pagpapaunlad ng kabuhayan ng mga mahihirap at marginalized na mga Pilipino.
Ginawa ng kalihim ang panawagan sa pagdalo nito sa 2023 CSR Guild Awards kasama ang iba’t ibang kumpanya ng League of Corporate Foundations (LCF).
Sa kanyang keynote address, ipinunto ng kalihim ang malaking papel na magagampanan ng pribadong sektor sa nation-building.
“The best type of nation-building is if we all put our hands together and devote time, and get out of our comfort zones, and try to make a difference,” Secretary Gatchalian
Kasama rin sa highlight ng kalihim ang presentasyon nito ng WALANG GUTOM 2027 o ang Food STAMP Program na isa sa bagong priority programs ng DSWD.
Dito, hinikayat ni Sec. Gatchalian ang mga miyembro ng business sector na suportahan ang programa at maging katuwang ng ahensya para tuluyang mawakasan ang kagutuman sa bansa.
Bukod dito, tinukoy rin ng kalihim ang ginagawa nitong hakbang para mapabilis ang
registration, at accreditation process ng public at private Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs).
