Magsislbing bagong simula para sa mga magsasaka ang pagiging ganap na batas ng New Agrarian Emancipation Act ayon kay Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Elizaldy Co.
Ayon sa mambabatas, dahil sa burado na ang pagkakautang ng mga agrarian reform beneficiary (ARB) sa kanilang lupain, ay mabibigyang access din sila sa iba pang support service at credit facility.
“By condoning the debts of our farmers, the New Agrarian Emancipation Act provides them with a fresh start and the opportunity to improve their livelihoods. It is a positive move from the government to support and uplift our agricultural sector,” saad ni Co.
Sa ganitong paraan ay mas lalo naman aniyang mapapataas ang produksyon at kita ng mga magsasaka, na daan para mapaunlad ang kanilang mga buhay.
Kasabay nito ay pinuri din ng House Appropriations Committee Chair ang pamamahagi ng 31,000 mahigit na land titles sa may 23,000 higit na ARB.
