Positibo si House Speaker Martin Romualdez na magreresulta sa mas maraming trabaho at negosyo ang pagtutulungan ng Pilipinas at Malaysia upang mapaunlad ang Halal industry.
Sa naging pulong ng Philippines-Malaysia Joint Commission nagkasundo ang dalawang bansa na palakasin ang mga sektor kung saan mayroon silang kapwa interes at kasama rito ang Halal industry.
Handa ang Malaysia na magbigay kasanayan sa mga Pilipino partikular sa mga nasa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
“The agreement between the Philippines and Malaysia to cooperate in this vital sector undoubtedly signifies a significant step towards the creation of more jobs, as well as livelihood and business prospects of our people,” ani Speaker Romualdez.
Kung pagbabatayan ang mga datos, ang global halal food market size ay umabot sa $2.2 billion noong 2022 at inaasahan na lolobo sa $4.7 billion sa 2028
“The Halal industry holds immense potential. By working together, we can capitalize on the Halal market’s vast opportunities, creating new avenues for trade, investment, and employment,” sabi pa ng House Speaker
Ang Malaysia ay isa sa nangunguna sa larangan ng Halal industry.
Tiwala naman si Romualdez na pakikinabangan ng mga Pilipino ang mga kasunduang naselyuhan sa pagbisita ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa Malaysia.
Muli ring nangako ang House leader na tutulong ang Mababang Kapulungan sa pamamagitan ng pagpasa ng mga kinakailangang batas para mapalakas ang ugnayan ng Pilipinas at Malaysia.
