Inaasahang magiging fully operational ang Metro Manila Subway Project sa 2029 na tinaguriang Project of the Century.

Ayon sa Department of Transportation o DOTr, target nitong matapos ang konstruksyon sa 2028 at bubuksan naman sa publiko sa 2029.

Matatandaang naunang plano ng ahensya na magkaroon ng partial operation sa Valenzuela, Tandang Sora, at North Avenue Stations sa 2027.

Ngunit ayon kay Transportation Assistant Secretary for Rails Jorjette Aquino mas maganda kung buo na o kumpleto na ang operasyon para mas maserbisyuhan ang mga pasahero.

Inamin din ng opisyal na nakaaepekto sa takbo ng proyekto ang pandemya.

Ang 33-kilometrong Metro Manila Subway ay magko-konekta sa Valenzuela City, NAIA 3, at FTI sa Taguig City. Magko-konekta rin ito sa Metro Rail Transit Line 3, Light Rail Transit Line 2, at Philippine National Railways. | ulat ni Diane Lear
