MMDA, naglabas ng traffic management plan para SONA

Naglabas na ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ng traffic management plan para sa ikalawang State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa Lunes, July 24.

Ayon kay MMDA Acting Chairperson Atty. Don Artes nasa 1,354 na tauhan ang inatasang pangasiwaan ang vehicular at pedestrian traffic, emergency response, road at sidewalk clearing operations, crowd control, traffic monitoring, at suportahan ang iba pang pwersa ng pamahalaan sa pagtitiyak ng maayos at ligtas na SONA.

Magpapatupad rin ang MMDA ng “No day off, no absent” policy sa kanilang mga tauhan na naka-assign sa SONA.

Magpapatupad ang MMDA ng zipper lane o counterflow sa southbound portion ng Commomwealth Avenue para bigyang daan ang mga opisyal ng gobyerno na tutungo sa Batasang Pambansa.

Kaugnay nito, inaabisuhan ang mga motorista na dumaan muna sa mga alternatibong ruta at iwasan ang inaasahang magiging mabigat na daloy ng trapiko sa kahabaan ng Commonwealth at Batasang Pambansa Complex sa Lunes.

Para sa mga Northbound mula Quezon Memorial Circle papuntang Fairview, maaaring baybayin ang North Avenue, kanan sa Mindanao Avenue, kanan sa Sauyo Road o Quirino Highway.

Sa mga pa southbound mula Fairview tungo Quezon Memorial Circle, maaaring baybayin ang Sauyo Road o Quirino Highway, kaliwa sa Mindanao Avenue, at kaliwa sa North Avenue.

Ang mga galing naman ng C5 Road ay maaaring dumaan sa Magiting Street, Maginhawa Street, Mayaman Street patungo sa Kalayaan Avenue.

Ang mga truck naman ay maaaring dumaan aa Luzon flyover, kaliwa sa Congressional Avenue patungo sa kanilang destinasyon.

Tiniyak naman ng ahensya maglalagay sila ng traffic advisory signage at traffic cones sa mga alternatibong ruta para magabayan ang mga motorista. | ulat ni Nimfa Mae Asuncion
