Nalalabing 10 sa 17 SONA bills, tatapusin ng Kamara bago matapos ang taon

Target tapusin ng Kamara ang sampu sa 17 SONA priority bills na inilatag ng Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Ayon kay House Speaker Martin Romualdez, sa kabuuang 17 panukala na binanggit ng Pangulo, pito dito ang kanila nang naaprubahan.

Ito ang Single-Use Plastic Bags Tax Act, Value-Added Tax on Digital Transactions, pagtatatag ng Fisherfolk Resettlement Areas, Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act, Automatic Income Classification Act for Local Government Units, Bureau of Immigration Modernization Act at Ease of Paying Taxes Act.

Kaya ang nalalabi ay kanilang agad na tatalakayin.

Plano aniya nila na aprubahan ang apat dito bago ang kanilang break sa Oktubre, partikular ang Anti-Agricultural Smuggling, Amendments to the Cooperative Code, Tatak Pinoy, at Blue Economy.

Ang natitirang anim naman ay tatapusin bago ng recess ng Kongreso sa Disyembre.

Ito ang: Motor Vehicle User’s Charge; Military and Uniformed Personnel (MUP) Pension; Revised Procurement Law; New Government Auditing Code; Rationalization of Mining Fiscal Regime; at National Water Act

“I am extremely confident that the House of Representatives would again rise up to the occasion and accept the challenge from our President: to pass the 17 priority measures needed to sustain our economic recovery and improve the living condition of our people. Sa pagpasa ng lahat ng panukalang batas na hiniling na Pangulo, umaasa kami na makakatulong kami dito sa House of Representatives na mapalago pang lalo ang ekonomiya, mapasigla ang negosyo, maparami pa ang trabaho at mapalawak ang serbisyong hatid natin sa mga PIlipino,” saad ni Romualdez.

Hiwalay pa aniya ang mga panukalang ito sa kanilang pagtalakay sa panukalang 2024 National Budget na nakatakdang isumite ng ehekutibo sa susunod na buwan. | ulat ni Kathleen Jean Forbes
