Reintegration sa workforce ng dating drug dependents, ipinapanukala ni Sen. Jinggoy Estrada

Isinusulong ni Senador Jinggoy Estrada na magkaroon ng batas para matiyak na mabibigyan ng magandang trabaho ang mga reformed drug user, at magbibigay ng insentibo sa mga kumpanyang kukuha sa kanila.

Sa ilalim ng Senate Bill 2276, na inihain ni Estrada, iminumungakahi ang pagkakaroon ng kolaborasyon sa pagitan ng Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) at Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) para makabuo ng technical vocational education training (TVET) program para sa mga rehabilitated drug dependent.

Ang TVET at mga programang pangkabuhayan ay tutuon sa pagbibigay sa reformed drug users ng kakayahang makahanap sila ng matatag na trabaho o makapagtaguyod sila ng sarili nilang negosyo.

Layon ng panukalang batas na itatag ang mga programa at matiyak na mapaglalaanan ito ng pondo para magtuloy-tuloy ang pagpapatupad sa mga ito.

Sinabi ni Estrada na mula pa noong 2016, nagbibigay na ng pagsasanay at livelihood scholarship sa mga dating drug dependent ang TESDA at noong taong 2021, nasa 94 percent o 8,200 mula sa kabuuang 8,700 na mga dating gumagamit ng iligal na droga ang nakapagtapos ng iba’t ibang kurso mula sa nasabing ahensya.

Ayon sa senador, sapat na itong patunay sa kahandaan ng mga dating drug dependent na makapagbagong-buhay.

Mahalaga aniyang mapanatili ang suporta na ibinibigay sa kanila, at palawakin ang saklaw nito para maisama ang skills training at productivity enhancement, na maghahanda sa kanila na maging self-reliant at maging kwalipikado para sa makabuluhang trabaho.

Bukod aniya sa mapapabuti nito ang pinansyal na kalagayan ng kanilang pamilya ay makakatulong pa ito sa pag-unlad ng ating bansa. | ulat ni Nimfa Asuncion
