Tinalakay ang mga posibleng aktibidad na magsusulong ng strategic partnership ng Philippine Navy at Italian Navy sa pagbisita ni Italian Undersecretary of State for Defense, Hon. Matteo Perego Di Cremnago sa Philippine Navy Headquarters kahapon.

Si Usec. Cremnago ay malugod na tinanggap ni Philippine Navy Vice Commander, Rear Adm. Caesar Bernard Valencia.

Sa pagpupulong ng dalawang opisyal, nagpahayag ng kasiyahan si RAdm. Valencia sa kapwa pagnanais na magpapalakas ang kooperasyong pandepensa ng dalawang bansa.

Nagpasalamat naman si Usec. Cremnago sa mainit na pagtanggap sa kanya, at sinabing inaasahan niya ang mas malawak na kooperasyon ng dalawang bansa sa larangan ng “Naval maritime domain”.

Ang pagbisita sa bansa ni Usec. Cremnago ay kasabay ng goodwill visit ng Italian Navy Ship Franceso Morosini (P431) sa Manila. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
