Nagkasundo ang Pilipinas at Malaysia na i-convene ang susunod na Philippines-Malaysia Joint Commission meeting, na magpapatatag pa sa kooperasyon ng dalawang bansa.
Sa joint press statement kasama si Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, sinabi ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na posibleng sa buwan ng Oktubre, maisakatuparan ang pulong.
“In the spirit of exploring synergies for future partnerships, we agreed to convene the next Philippines-Malaysia Joint Commission Meeting in the near future. I believed the date that we decided upon was around sometime in October.” —Pangulong Marcos.
Ayon sa pangulo, ang meeting na ito ay isang venue para sa government agencies, upang detalyadong mapagusapan ang priority cooperation ng dalawang bansa.
Kabilang na dito ang linya ng transnational crimes, agriculture, Halal industry, Islamic banking, education, turismo at kultura, sports, at ang digital economy.
