BSKE sa Taguig, tututukan ng DILG at COMELEC

Nakikipagtulungan na ang Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa Commission on Election (COMELEC) para ihanda ang mga bagong barangay ng Taguig City para sa darating na barangay elections sa Oktubre 30, 2023.

Alinsunod sa pinal na desisyon ang Korte Suprema, bahagi na ng Taguig City ang Fort Bonifacio Military Reservation at hindi na sa Makati City.

Ayon kay DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos Jr,sumulat ang DILG sa Korte Suprema noong Mayo 3 at hiniling na maglabas ng desisyon kaugnay sa mga apektadong barangay.

Habang hinihintay ang desisyon mula sa korte, sinabi ni Abalos na in-activate na ng DILG ng mga transition team para harapin ang pagbabago ng teritoryo.

Sinabi din ng kalihim na nakikipagtulungan na rin ang ahensiya sa Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) at Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) upang baguhin ang mga lugar ng responsibilidad ng kanilang mga apektadong lokal na tanggapan.| ulat ni Rey Ferrer
