China, walang maipakitang patunay sa DFA sa sinasabing kasunduan para alisin ang BRP Sierra Madre sa Ayungin Shoal

Walang maipakitang katibayan ang China sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) kaugnay ng sinasabi nitong kasunduan sa Pilipinas na aalisin ang BRP Sierra Madre sa Ayungin Shoal.

Sa deliberasyon ng budget, sinabi ni Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo na walang ganitong rekord ang gobyerno ng Pilipinas.

Makailang ulit na rin aniyang humingi ang DFA ng kopya ng sinasabing kasunduan ngunit wala naman ipinapadala o ipinapakita sa kanila ang Chinese government.

“Actually maraming naging meeting noong 2021, but we’ve never been provided of a record of an agreement arising from those talks… It was claimed, but we have no record of such an agreement. We have asked them to give us a copy or any written copy of an agreement but they have never given us any copy. If there is no clear indication that such an agreement, then we can assume that there is no such agreement that exists,” sabi ni Manalo.

Nauna nang sinabi ng Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs na nangako ang Pilipinas na aalisin ang BRP Sierra Madre.
