DA, dumipensa sa pagkakaroon ng P50-M confidential fund sa susunod na taon

Nilinaw ng Department of Agriculture (DA) kung para saan ang inilaang P50 million na confidential funds para sa kagawaran sa ilalim ng 2024 National Budget.

Ito ay matapos mausisa ni ACT Teachers Party-list Representative France Castro kung saan gagamitin ng ahensya ang naturang pondo.

Ayon kay Assistant Secretary for DA Inspectorate and Enforcement James Layug, gagamitin ang confidential funds sa anti-agricultural smuggling efforts katuwang ang iba pang ahensya ng pamahalaan.

Bahagi aniya ito ng kanilang mandato bilang miyembro ng National Intelligence Coordinating Board, na tumutugon sa problema sa smuggling.
