DFA, ibinaba na lamang sa Single Crisis Alert Level 3 ang Libya

Ibinaba na ng Department of Foreign Affairs sa Single Crisis Alert Level 3 ang Crisis Alert sa Libya dahil sa mas bumuti na ang sitwasyon sa kabila ng nananatiling magulo ang political at security situation sa nasabing bansa.

Ibig sabihin nito ay boluntaryo na lamang ang repatriation sa mga Pilipinong nagtatrabaho sa Libya.

Noong 2019 nang itaas sa Tripoli at iba pang lugar na sakop ng 100-kilometer radius ang Alert Level 4 at Alert Level 3 naman sa mga lugar na sakop ng 100-kilometer radius sa Libya dahil sa mga kaguluhan.

Tinatayang nasa 2,300 na Overseas Filipino Workers ang nagtatrabaho sa Libya kung saan ilan sa mga ito ay mas nag-aalala sa mga nakabinbin na mga labor issues na aabot sa 305 nitong Hunyo 2023.

Sinabi rin ng DFA na patuloy pa rin nilang babantayan ang sitwasyon sa Libya at aalalay sa mga Pilipinong nangangailangan ng tulong sa pamamagitan ng Assistance-to-Nationals. | ulat ni Gab Villegas
