Nakipagpulong si Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Alfredo Pascual kay Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy Minister for Trade Dukgeun Ahn sa sidelines ng 55th ASEAN Economic Ministers sa Semarang, Indonesia.

Tinalakay ng dalawang opisyal ang mas pinaigting na economic engagements sa pagitan ng dalawang bansa.

Ikinalugod rin ng dalawang opisyal ang pagtatapos ng negosasyon para sa PH-ROK Free Trade Agreement, at posibleng gawin ang paglagda sa sidelines ng 24th ASEAN-Republic of Korea (ASEAN-ROK) Summit sa Setyembre 2023. 

Bukod pa rito, gagawa rin sila ng posibleng kooperasyon sa katatagan ng supply chain upang matiyak ang katatagan at predictability ng mga business operations, partikular sa manufacturing sector.

Tinitingnan rin ni Secretary Pascual at Minister Ahn ang pagdaraos ng isang business forum, upang palakasin ang trade and investment relations bilang pagdiriwang sa ika-75 anibersaryo ng diplomatic relations sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Korea. | ulat ni Gab Villegas
