Energy cooperation sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Portugal, welcome sa Department of Energy

Ikinalugod ng Department of Energy (DOE) ang energy cooperation sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Portugal, sa larangan ng renewable energy at alternative fuels tulad ng hydrogen.

Ito ay matapos ang naging courtesy visit ni Portuguese Foreign Minister João Gomes Cravinho kay Energy Secretary Raphael Lotilla noong July 27.

Dito binanggit nito na nagpahayag ng interes ang dalawang Portuguese energy companies na Energias de Portugal (EDP) at EDP Renewables (EDPR), na mag-invest sa renewable energy projects ng bansa.

Ibinahagi ni Secretary Lotilla kay Foreign Minister Cravinho ang areas of cooperation na pwedeng magtulungan ang Pilipinas at Portugal tulad ng pagbuo ng offshore wind at floating solar, hydrogen, at ammonia production gamit ang renewable energy, importasyon ng liquified natural gas, at pagpapabuti ng transmission at distribution lines ng bansa.

Ipaparating naman ni Foreign Minister Cravinho ang mga naging outcome ng nasabing courtesy visit kay Portuguese Minister for Environment and Climate Action João Pedro Matos Fernandes, upang mapag-usapan nina Secretary Lotilla sa COP28 Meeting sa Dubai ngayong Disyembre. | ulat ni Gab Villegas
