Higit ₱100-M cash assistance, naipamahagi na ng DSWD sa Ilocos Norte

Aabot na sa ₱104-million ang halaga ng cash assistance na naipaabot ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office-1 (Ilocos Region) sa mga residenteng naapektuhan ng Bagyong Egay.

Ayon sa DSWD, tuloy-tuloy na ang pamamahagi nito ng cash aid sa pamamagitan ng Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) at Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS).

Sa ulat ni Ilocos Regional Director Marie Angela Gopalan, aabot na sa 5,349 indibidwal ang nakatanggap ng cash aid sa ilalim ng ECT habang 14,830 indibidwal ang nakinabang na sa AICS.

Bukod naman dito, nasa ₱144-million relief aid na rin ang naihatid ng DSWD sa lalawigan na binubuo ng family food packs (FFPs), non-food items gaya ng hygiene kit, sleeping kits, at kitchen kits.

Sa kasalukuyan, patuloy pa rin ang koordinasyon ng DSWD sa local government units( LGUs) para maasistehan ang 835 pamilya o 2,992 indibidwal na nananatili pa sa 44 evacuation centers sa rehiyon.  | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
