Higit 200 indibidwal na nasa lansangan, natulungan sa Oplan Pag-abot ng DSWD

Aabot na sa higit 200 indibidwal ang naasistehan ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa nagpapatuloy na reach-out operations nito o ang Oplan Pag-abot.

Kabilang dito ang nasa 38 pamilya na binubuo ng 113 indibidwal, 111 unattached adults, at tatlong kabataan na nakatira sa mga lansangan ng Pasay, Manila, at Caloocan.

Ayon kay DSWD Spokesperson Assistant Secretary Romel Lopez, ang mga naabot na families at individuals in street situations ay isinailalim na sa biometrics registration at binigyan na rin ng identification cards.

Ang ilan sa mga serbisyong handog ng DSWD ay medical assistance, food support, transportation at relocation aid, pangkabuhayan package, transitory family support packages, emergency financial assistance, at transitory shelter assistance.

“The social workers conducted an interview and assessment of the clients to identify the appropriate interventions to be provided, which may include but not limited to the ‘Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag Asa Program,’ Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS), Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), and temporary shelter, or protective custody,” ani Assistant Secretary Lopez.
