Maituturing ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) na isang biyaya para sa ekonomiya ng bansa sa hinaharap ang kahusayan at flexibility ng pribadong sektor sa pagpapatupad ng mga malalaking proyektong pang-imprastraktura kasama ang national government.
Sa contract signing para sa apat na Infrastructure Flagship Projects’ (IFP) consultancy services ng ahensya, sinabi ni Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista na aasa ang DOTr sa expertise ng pribadong sektor sa pagpaplano ng transportasyon, arkitektura, landscape architecture, civil engineering, at iba pang aspeto ng mga proyekto.
Ang apat na consultancy services na kinuha ng DOTr ay ang Public-Private Partnership Center, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Isla Lipana & Co (PwC Philippines), at SyCip Gorres Velayo & Company (SGV) para sa operasyon at maintenance ng Cebu Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) at feasibility studies para sa NCR EDSA Busway, Manila Bay-Pasig River-Laguna Lake Ferry System at North Long Haul Inter-Regional Railway. | ulat ni Gab Humilde Villegas
