Inaasahang matatapos ang negosasyon para sa Free Trade Agreement (FTA) sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at European Union bago magtapos ang termino ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., ayon sa Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

Ayon kay DTI Secretary Alfredo Pascual, ginagawa na nila ang lahat ng kanilang makakaya na matapos ang nasabing negosasyon bago matapos ang termino ng Pangulo.

Nauna na ring sinabi ng kalihim na target nilang simulan ang negosasyon sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at EU para sa Free Trade Agreement bago matapos ang taon.

Ito ay matapos ang naging anunsyo ni European Commission President Ursula von den Leyen na magbabalik ang negosasyon sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at regional bloc para sa isang Free Trade Agreement.| ulat ni Gab Humilde Villegas
