Pagtaas ng inbound flights sa bansa at pagdami ng domestic air routes, naitala ng DOT

Naitala ng Department of Tourism ang pagtaas sa inbound flights at domestic air routes sa bansa bunsod na rin ng pagsisikap ng administrasyong Marcos Jr. na paunlarin ang sektor ng turismo sa bansa.

Batay sa pinakahuling ulat ng DOT, aabot sa 58 na mga international flight ang nadagdag na mga dumarating sa bansa kada linggo kung saan nakita ang nasabing pagtaas sa Maynila, Cebu, Bohol, Kalibo, Clark, Caticlan, Cagayan North, at Davao.

Nakitaan rin ng pagtaas ang bilang ng domestic flights kada linggo na aabot sa 83. May mga nagbukas rin na mga bagong flight routes tulad ng Cebu-Baguio, Cebu-Borongan, at Cebu-Naga.

Mayroon rin na domestic flights ang nagbalik tulad ng ruta na mula Clark patungong Bacolod, Busuanga, Cagayan de Oro, Caticlan, Davao, Iloilo, General Santos, Puerto Princesa, at pabalik; Manila to Tablas, at Lal-lo at pabalik; Davao to Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Siargao, at pabalik; at ang rutang Zamboanga patungong Cotabato at pabalik.

Ayon naman kay Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco, naka-angkla ang kanilang mga plano sa National Tourism Development Plan 2023-2028 kung saan nais nilang mapataas ang bilang ng mga flight sa bansa at pataasin ang overall accessibility para sa mga foreign at domestic guests, at ang pagbubukas ng bansa para sa negosyo at turismo. | ulat ni Gab Humilde Villegas
