Aminado si Manila Rep. Bienvenido Abante, miyembro ng House Committee on Ethics and Privileges na may epekto sa imahe ng Kamara ang pagturing kay Negros Oriental Rep. Arnolfo Teves Jr. bilang isang terorista.

“…kasi first time nangyari yan samin. In a way, affected din kami dito, yung ATC ruling, ACT resolution declaring him as a terorista. Pero syempre the Committee on Ethics is studying everything we can to be able to offset that kind of impression.” saad ni Abante.

So, we really would like to be really objective sa desisyon namin. We’d like to really exhaust all means na talagang matibay yung batayan namin for whatever recommendation we will issue.” dagdag ng mambabatas.

“We made a motion kanina, we approved na we are going to continue on with the investigation, to exhaust all means to really have a real basis number na hindi kami pwedeng i-tag na violator kami ng due process, we’re unconstitutional, sabi ng kanyang mga abugado.” ayon pa sa Manila solon.

“We are not yet in the discussion as to the penalty that can be recommended by the Committee on Ehtics, but again as we mentioned a while ago, that there will be a continuing investigation as to the case being faced by Congressman Arnie Teves… Probably in one to two weeks.”
