Pangulong Marcos, nangakong paiigtingin ang bilateral relations sa Zimbabwe

Bukas ang Marcos administration sa pag-explore at pagpapaigtinig ng bilateral cooperation sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Zimbabwe.

Sa presentasyon ng credentials ni Zimbabwe Ambassador to the Philippines Constance Chemwayi, sinabi ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na ang pagbisita sanang ito ng opisyal ang pagsisimula ng mas malalim pang ugnayan ng dalawang bansa.

Umaasa rin ang Pangulo na maraming pang areas of cooperation ang mabubuksan ng dalawang bansa.

Sa panig naman ng ambahador, sinabi nito na maraming matututunan ang kanilang bansa sa Pilipinas, partikular sa pag-develop at pagpapalakas ang ekonomiya ng bansa.

Tulad aniya ng Pilipinas, binibigyang prayoridad rin nila ang pagpapaigting ng kanilang agri at infra sector, lalo’t layon ng kanilang bansa na maging middle-income country pagsapit ng 2030.

“Like you, we are prioritizing agriculture. And in fact, it is both the supply and the price of agricultural commodities. And with that, we talk not only about products, but even the inputs such as fertilizer. I think we are all undergoing that,” —Pangulong President Marcos.

Ayon kay Pangulong Marcos, willing ang Pilipinas na tulungan ang Zimbabwe sa linyang ito.

“So, I hope that we can find a way. We happen to have a very well-developed research and development and schools that have been actually the premier schools for agriculturists and agronomists here in Asia.” —Pangulong Marcos.
