Pinsalang idinulot ng Bagyong Egay sa imprastraktura, pumalo na sa halos P7 bilyon ayon sa DPWH

Umakyat na sa halos P7 bilyon ang naitalang pinsala sa imprastraktura ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) dulot ng bagyong Egay.

Batay sa update ng DPWH kaninang tanghali, aabot sa P6.94 bilyon ang naitala nilang pinsala dulot ng mga nasirang kalsada, tulay at flood-control structures.

Ayon kay DPWH Sec. Manuel Bonoan, aabot na rin sa 44 na mga kalsada ang nabuksan na ng kanilang Quick Response Teams sa Cordillera, Ilocos Sur, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, CALABARZON at Western Visayas regions.

Puspusan pa rin aniya ang ginagawang clearing operations sa may labing pitong kalsada sa CAR, Ilocos, Central Luzon at Western Visayas habang may sampung kalsada pa sa Hilaga at Gitnang Luzon ang limitado pa ring madaanan ng mga motorista. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
