Siniguro ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) at Kamara na walang ‘singit’ o pork barrel sa ipapasang 2024 National Budget.
Ayon kay House Speaker Martin Romualdez, bubusisiin mabuti ng Kamara ang P5.768 trillion proposed budget upang matiyak na ‘pork barrel’ free ang budget biil.
“With everyone’s participation and cooperation, I am confident that the House of Representatives will be able to scrutinize, deliberate and pass the national budget that is ”pork barrel” free for 2024 before we go on our first recess in October,” ani Romualdez.
Ayon naman kay DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, tapos na ang mga araw na may lalapit o magpapalakad para maipasok ang kanilang mga proyekto o programa sa pambansang budget.
Digitized at online na kasi aniya lahat ng budget documents.
“Our budget now is we don’t issue hard copies anymore. Everything is digitalized SARO, NCA, lahat po ng releases ng DBM ngayon, wala na pong hard copies. So we don’t expect people to g oto DBM.” –Pangandaman
Sa panig naman ng House Committee on Appropriations, sinabi ni Marikina Rep. Stella Quimbo, Vice-Chair ng komite, makatitiyak ng transparency ang publiko sa kanilang mga budget deliberation dahil bukas ito para i-cover ng media at magkakaroon din ng livestream.
