Susunod na World Youth Day, isasagawa sa South Korea sa 2027, ayon sa CBCP

Isasagawa sa Seoul, South Korea ang susunod na World Youth Day o ang pandaigdigang araw ng mga Kabataan sa taong 2027.

Ito ang kinumpirma ng Catholic Bishop’s Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) makaraang ianunsyo ito mismo ni Pope Francis nang pangunahan nito ang isang misa sa Lisbon, Portugal kahapon.

Sa kaniyang mensahe, muling inulit ng Santo Papa ang kataga na laging sinasambit ng ngayon ay santo nang si St. Pope John Paul II, na huwag matakot sa mga kinahaharap na pagsubok sa makabagong panahon.

Nagpasalamat din si Pope Francis sa mga kabataang dumalo hindi lamang sa Lisbon, kung hindi maging sa iba’t ibang panig ng mundo kabilang na ang Pilipinas na nagsagawa ng sariling programa kasabay ng okasyon.

Binigkas din ng Santo Papa ang katagang “obrigado” sa wikang Portugese na ang pakahulugang “I am Obliged,” na ang ibig sabihin ay labis na pagpapasalamat.

Nagtapos ang halos isang linggong World Youth Day sa Passeio Maritimo, na dinaluhan ng may 1.5 milyong kabataang perigrino at 25,000 volunteer mula sa 130 bansa.

Ang World Youth Day ay nagsimula noong 1985 ng ngayo’y Santo nang si Pope John Paul II, na layong palakasin ang papel ng mga kabataan sa pagpapalaganap ng pananampalataya sa buong mundo. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
