Tara, Basa! Tutoring program, magkatuwang na inilunsad ng DSWD at DEPED

Inilunsad na ngayong araw ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), katuwang ang Department of Education (DepEd), ang reformatted educational assistance na Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program.

Pinangunahan nina DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian at Vice President at DepEd Secretary Sara Duterte ang paglulunsad ng programa sa Rizal High School sa Pasig City.

Sa ilalim ng program, pipili ang DSWD ng college students na kapos sa buhay na magiging tutors at youth development workers.

Bilang tutors, ang college student beneficiaries ay magsasagawa ng reading tutorial sessions sa non-reader grade school learners at bilang kapalit ay makakatanggap sila ng cash for work na ₱570 kada araw sa 20 araw na pagtuturo.

Ang mga mapipili namang youth development workers ay magsasagawa ng Nanay-Tatay Teacher Sessions para sa mga magulang at guardians upang maalalayan ang mga ito sa effective parenting.

Habang ang mga magulang ng non-reader elementary learners ay may matatanggap ding cash aid na ₱235 kada araw para sa 20 araw ng assistance.

Ayon sa DSWD, layon ng programa na hindi lang maghatid ng financial assistance sa college students mula sa low-income families kundi makatulong din sa pagtugon sa learning loss sa mga estudyante.
