Tara, Basa! tutors na sumailalim sa training, higit sa kalahati na ng target ng DSWD

Ibinida ni DSWD Sec. Rex Gatchalian sa deliberasyon ng kanilang 2024 proposed budget, na higit sa kalahati na ng target nilang tutor para sa programang Tara, Basa! ang sumailalim na sa training.

Aniya, hanggang nitong August 8, sa 6,388 target tutors, natapos na ang training ng 3,989 tutors mula sa may 20 nakikibahaging kolehiyo at unibersidad o katumabas ng 62%.

Ang Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program ay ang reformatted educational assistance na magkatuwang na ipinatutupad ng DSWD at DEPED.

Pipili ang DSWD ng college students na kapos sa buhay na magiging tutors at youth development workers.

Makakatanggap sila ng cash for work na P570 kada araw sa 20 araw na pagtuturo. | ulat ni Kathleen Jean Forbes
