Train sets ng MRT 3, operational na lahat

Inanunsyo ng Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) na nakumpleto na nito ang pag overhaul ng 72 light rail vehicles o mga bagon noong Nobyembre 2022.

Sa ngayon, ayon kay Department of Transportation Assistant Secretary for Railways at MRT-3 OIC Jorjette Aquino, nasa 24 train sets na ng MRT 3 ang available at operational.

Sa 18 train sets na tumatakbo sa peak hours, tumaas na sa 10 million ang ridership nito kada buwan ngayong taon.

Mas mataas na ang ridership kumpara sa 8 milyon kada buwan noong 2022 at 5 milyon noong 2021.

Sabi pa ni Aquino, nasa 375,000 hanggang 400,000 na ang daily average ng ridership ngayon.

Ibig sabihin nito, marami nang commuters ang sumasakay sa MRT-3.

Sa 24 na train sets na magagamit, maaari pang mag-deploy ng karagdagang dalawa o higit pang train sets kung kinakailangan upang ma-accommodate ang 450,000 hanggang 500,000 na pasahero kada araw. | ulat ni Rey Ferrer
