DND, nakibahagi sa pagdiriwang ng ika-75 anibersaryo ng Republic of Korea Armed Forces

Pinaunlakan ng Department of National Defense (DND) ang imbitasyon ng Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Korea (ROK) na dumalo pagdiriwang ng ika-75 anibersaryo ng Republic of Korea Armed Forces (ROKAF).

Ang paanyaya ng Korea ay bilang pasasalamat sa tulong ng Philippine Expeditionary Force to Korea (PEFTOK) sa Korean war noong dekada 50.

Sa pagdalo ni DND Sr. Undersecretary Irineo C. Espino sa naturang aktibidad mula Setyembre 24 hanggang 27, natalakay niya ang pagsulong ng kooperasyong pandepensa ng Pilipinas at Korea sa kanyang counterpart na si Vice Minister of Defense SHIN Beomchul.

Nagbigay pugay din si Usec. Espino sa Filipino Korean War heroes, sa isang commemorative activity para sa PEFTOK na inorganisa ng Call Heroes Association.

Sa naturang aktibidad, nagpasalamat Usec. Espino sa ROK sa pagbibigay ng scholarship grants sa descendants ng Filipino Korean War veterans.

Binisita rin ni Usec. Espino ang War Memorial of Korea (WMOK) kahapon para magbigay galang. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
