DOH, nakikipag-ugnayan sa pharmaceutical industry para sa mas abot-kayang gamot

Tinutugunan na ng Department of Health (DOH) ang kakulangan ng murang gamot sa bansa sa pamamagitan ng pakikipag-ugnayan sa pharmaceutical companies.

Ito ang tugon ni Health Secretary Ted Herbosa sa interpelasyon ni Deputy Majority Leader Erwin Tulfo sa budget briefing ng ahensya.

Ani Tulfo, maraming lumalapit sa kanilang tanggapan para ihingi ng tulong ang umano’y kawalan ng suplay ng gamot sa health centers gaya ng paracetamol, gamot sa high blood at iba pa.

Ayon kay Herbosa, pinalalakas na ng Health department ang Universal Health Care o UHC Law para magkaroon ng mga doktor, laboratoryo at libreng gamot sa mga barangay.

May ikinakasa rin aniya ang PhilHealth na Libreng PhilHealth Gamot program.

Ngunit maliban dito, nakikipag-usap na rin sila sa pharmaceutical industry para imbes na mag-angkat ng gamot na nagpapataas sa halaga nito ay magtayo na lamang sila ng manufacturing facility sa Pilipinas, para mas papababa ang presyo ng gamot. | ulat ni Kathleen Forbes
