Human Rights Violations Victims’ Memorial Museum, di napondohan sa susunod na taon

Napuna ni Albay 1st District Representative Edcel Lagman ang kawalan ng pondo para sa susunod na taon ng Human Rights Violations Victims’ Memorial Museum, Library and Compendium.

Aniya, salig sa RA 10368 “Human Rights Violations Victims’ Reparation and Recognition Act of 2013” itatayo ang memorial museum bilang paalala sa madilim na bahagi ng Martial Law Period at ang dinanas ng mga biktima at survivor noong panahong iyon.

Ngunit sa ilalim ng 2024 General Appropriations Bill ay walang funding para sa pagtatapos ng pagpapatayo sa naturang memorial museum.

Kasabay naman ng ika-51 anibersaryo ng deklarasyon ng Martial Law ngayong araw ay nagpaalala si Lagman na hindi dapat malimutan ang bahaging ito ng kasaysayan ng Pilipinas upang hindi na maulit muli.
