Suportado ng Kamara ang atas ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na patawan ng price ceiling ang bigas upang maibsan ang mataas na presyo nito sa pamilihan na pabigat sa mga Pilipino.
Ayon kay House Speaker Martin Romualdez napapanahon ang hakbang na ito ng Pangulo lalo at malaking pasakit ito para sa mga kapos o marginalize.
“We, in the House of Representatives, stand firmly behind President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s decisive action to ensure every Filipino’s access to affordable rice. The imposition of price ceilings on this staple food is a timely and necessary intervention to shield our fellow countrymen from the undue economic burden caused by unwarranted surges in rice prices.” ani Romualdez.
Pinuri din ng House leader ang pagtutulungan ng Department of Agriculture (DA), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) at Bureau of Customs (BOC) sa pagtiyak na ito ay maipatutupad.
Bilang bahagi ng kanilang oversight function ay palalakasin aniya nila ang imbestigasyon at pagbabantay sa hoarding, price manipulation at cartel hindi lang sa bigas ngunit sa iba pang produktong agrikultural at batayang pangangailangan ng mga Pilipino.

Patuloy din aniya silang makikipag-ugnayan sa ehekutibo para mapalakas ang mga polisiya at mekanismo para protektahan ang kapakanan ng mga mamimili.
“Naghahanap kami ng paraan kung paano ang gagawin natin para giginhawa yung buhay ng ating taumbayan, ng mga Pilipino. Yun ang gusto talaga ng presidente.
