MMDA, humiling ng P21-M ‘intelligence fund’ para sa taong 2024

Humiling ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ng P21 Million na “intelligence funds.”

Sa plenary debate sa Kamara para sa panukalang 2024 Budget ng MMDA, kinuwestyon ni 1-RIDER Party List Rep. Ramon Rodrigo Gutierrez kung bakit hihingi ng intel funds ang MMDA at kung ito ba ay gagamitin sa intelligence at counter intelligence.

Ayon kay Caloocan Rep. Mitzi Cajayon-Uy, sponsor ng MMDA budget, mayroon ngang P21 million na request na IF ang MMDA.

Pero klinaro ni Uy na ito ay “locally-funded” at hindi magmumula sa General Appropriations Act (GAA) at bahagi ng ng Metro Manila Network Against Terrorism (MNAT) at NTF-ELCAC.

Diin ng mambabatas, ang naturang IF ay inaprubahan umano ng Metro Manila Council (MMC) na siyang gagamitin sa panghuhuli ng mga kolorum, at mga tiwalang mga empleyado ng MMDA.

Sa interpalasyon ni Gutierrez, sinabi nito na bubusisiin ang pag-aaralan ang IF ng ahensya.| ulat ni Melany V. Reyes
