National Privacy Commission, nakipagpulong sa mga opisyal ng Philhealth kaugnay sa kanilang sistema na inatake ng Medusa Ransomware

Nagpulong ngayong araw ang mga opisyal ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) at National Privacy Commission (NPC).

Ito’y matapos pagpaliwanagin ang state insurer hinggil sa nangyaring pag-atake ng MEDUSA ransomware sa kanilang online system, na nagdulot ng aberya sa kanilang mga transaksyon.

Pasado alas-9 ng umaga nang dumating sa punong tanggapan ng PhilHealth sa Pasig City ang mga tauhan ng NPC na pawang mga Information Technology Officer.

Ayon sa NPC, ginawa ang pag-iinspeksyon upang matukoy ang lawak ng epekto ng pinaghihinalaang data breach sa sistema ng PhilHealth at upang matugunan ito.

Kailangan kasing matiyak ayon sa NPC na nabibigyang proteksyon ng PhilHealth ang interes ng kanilang mga benepisyaryo gayundin ng kanilang contributors.
