OPAPRU, naglunsad ng Peace Research Conference kasabay ng National Peace Consciousness Month

Ipinagmalaki ng Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) ang patuloy na gumagandang sitwasyong pangkapayapaan sa bansa.

Ito ang tinuran ni OPAPRU Senior Undersecretary Isidro Purisima, nang buksan nito ang ikatlong 2023 Research Conference, na may temang “Kapayapaan, Responsibilidad ng Bawat Mamamayan.”

Dito, iniulat ng iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan ang mga ginagawang hakbang upang makamit ang pang matagalang kapayapaan sa buong bansa.

Kasama na rito aniya ang Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP), na humihikayat sa mga rebelde na magbalik loob na kapalit ng tulong pinansyal at pangkabuhayan.

Samantala, iniulat naman ni Joan Hope Tolibas, Program Manager ng Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism Project ng Department of the Interior and Local Governments, na umangat ang ranking ng Pilipinas sa Global Terrorism Index. Mula aniya sa ika-16 na ranking noong 2022 sa mga bansang may malaking banta ng terorismo, ngayon ay nasa ika-18 puwesto na ang Pilipinas. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
