Dagdag na P510.92 million na pondo ang hiniling ng Office of the Vice President mula sa Department of Budget and Management noong 2022.
Ito ay batay sa kopya ng ‘request letter’ ng OVP sa DBM na ibinahagi ni Albay Rep. Edcel Lagman sa media.
Ang naturang kopya ay hiniling ni Lagman mula sa Office of the President sa kaniyang interpelasyon, na siya namang ibinigay ni House Deputy Majority Leader Erwin Tulfo, ang sponsor ng OP budget.
Sa naturang sulat na may petsang Agosto 22, 2022, ang OVP ay humingi ng:
- P144.72 million na dagdag sa financial assistance/subsidy
- P8.74 million para sa special duty allowance ng VP Security and Protection Group
- P107.46 million na dagdag para sa kukuning 192 co-terminus at contractual positions, at
- P250 million na confidential fund.
“The Office of the Vice President is committed to formulate programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) relevant to national security and peace and order and is devoted to implement said PPAs with proper security and safety protocols for the benefit of the institution through the OVP satellite offices, its partner stakeholders, and the general public,” sabi sa sulat.
