Nagbaba ng P200 million na financial assistance ang Office of the President (OP) sa Philippine Orthopedic Center (POC), bilang bahagi ng hakbang ng administrasyon na gawing prayoridad ang health sector ng bansa.
Ayon kay POC Medical Center Chief Dr. Jose Pujalte Jr., ang financial assistance na ito ay makatutulong sa pag-sustain ng operasyon ng ospital, lalo na ngayong nakakakita ng pagtaas ng kaso ng injuries sa bansa.
“To achieve true universal health care, we need the confluence of a leader’s vision, the dedication and expertise of the health workers, and wherewithal,” —Pujalte.
Bukod sa pagtulong sa mga nangangailangang orthopedic patients, gagamitin rin ang pondo sa pag-modernize ng POC, sa pamamagitan ng pagbili ng state-of-the-art hospital facilities at equipment.
Ayon kay Pujalte, sa kasalukuyan kaya nang mag-accommodate ng POC ng nasa 600 pasyente kada araw.
Patuloy aniya ang gagawin nilang pagbibigay ng accessible at de kalidad na medical care sa kanilang mga pasyente.
