Paggamit ng cannabis bilang gamot sa ilang sakit, inaprubahan na ng UN Office on Drugs and Crime

Naglabas na ng approval ang United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime para gamitin ang Cannabis o marijuana sa ilang uri ng sakit.

Ayon kay Dr. Gem Mutia, isang Adult Medicine Specialist at Founder ng Philippine Society of Cannabis Medicine, inaprubahan ng Research ng United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime ang Cannabis o Cannabinoids na gamot ito sa ilang uri ng sakit.

Ang mga sakit na maaaring gamutin ng cannabis ay chronic pain, cancer para sa chemotherapy, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, drug dependence at health disorder.

Kaya naman, hinihingi ni Dr. Mutia sa mga mambabatas sa Pilipinas na aprubahan na ang 10 proposed bill na nagsusulong para gawing ligal ang paggamit ng cannabis bilang isang uri ng gamot.

Sa ilalim ng panukalang batas, itatayo ang Philippine Medical Cannabis Authority na siyang magre-regulate sa cannabis at ito rin ang gagawa ng implementing rules and regulations.

Nilinaw naman ng National Institute on Drug Abuse, ang adiksyon sa cannabis ay nagagamit at hindi dapat ito ginagawang krimen. | ulat ni Michael Rogas
