Pamahalaan, magpapatupad ng whole of government approach vs. vote buying at vote selling sa BSK elections

Magtutulong-tulong ang Philippine National Police (PNP), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLAC), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), at Department of Justice (DOJ), upang labanan ang vote buying at vote selling para sa nalalapit na Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan elections (BSKE) sa Oktubre.

Sa briefing ng Laging Handa, sinabi ni COMELEC Spokesperson Atty. John Rex Laudiangco, na kasunod na rin ito ng ibinabang COMELEC Resolution 100946, kung saan binuo ang Committee on Kontra Bigay.

“Maaari pong iyong ating complaint center ang magsagawa ng complaint kung saan magku-conduct kami in both instances whether piskal o ang Comelec ay magsasagawa ng preliminary investigation at kapag diyan sa preliminary investigation napatunayan na may probable cause ka, na ang elemento ng vote-buying at vote-selling ay lumapat doon sa ginawa mo iyan ay magbubunsod ng rekomendasyon para magsampa ng isang criminal information for an election offense sa ating Regional Trial Courts; kapag ito ay inaprubahan ng Comelec en banc agad-agad ay magsasagawa kami ng filing ng criminal information for election offense.” —Atty. Magkakaroon aniya sila ng National Complaint Center, na tatanggap at tutulong sa lahat ng mayroong reklamo kontra vote buying at vote selling.

Tututukan aniya nila ang mga reklamong ito, mula sa pagtanggap ng complaint tungo sa intial case build up, investigation, hanggang sa prosecution at conviction.
