Anim na ahensya ng gobyerno, tinapyasan ng confidential fund

Maliban sa limang ahensya ng gobyerno na tinanggalan ng confidential fund, ay mayroong anim na iba pang kagawaran na binawasan naman ng naturang pondo.

Ayon kay Appropriations Senior Vice Chair Stella Quimbo, sa kabuuang P1.23 billion confidential fund na ni-realign, P1.05 billion dito ang mula sa limang national agencies na tinaggalan ng CF.

Ito ang Office of the Vice President, Department of Education, Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) at Department of Agriculture.

Ang nalalabing P187 million naman ay galing sa anim na ahensya na napanatili ang CF pero binawasan.

Kabilang dito ang Bureau of Customs at Office of the Presidential Adviser for Peace, Reconciliation and Unity na napanatili sa 2023 level ang CF na nagkakahalaga ng P69.5 million at P54 million.

Binawasan din ang CF ng DOJ (P168 million), Office of the Solicitor General (P10 million) at Anti-Money Laundering Council (P7.5 million)

Mula naman sa P51.4 million na confidential fund ng Ombudsman, P1 million na lang ang natira para sa CF at ang P50.4 million ay inilipat sa kanilang Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses o MOOE. | ulat ni Kathleen Jean Forbes
