Comelec Bicol, nagpasyang huwag nang ilipat sa bagong voting centers ang 34K registered voters sa Bulkang Mayon

Batay sa pinakahuling pahayag ni Atty. Maria Juana S. Valeza, Regional Director ng Commission on Election sa Bicol, mananatiling boboto ang 34,000 botante sa loob ng 6 kilometer radius permanent danger zone ng Bulkang Mayon sa kanilang orihinal na voting center.  May kaugnayan ito sa contingency plan na pinagtibay ng Comelec en banc sa panahon na ang mga ito ay pansamantalang nakatira sa mga evacuation center.

Ayon sa opisyal, ito ang pinagbatayan ng desisyon; una ito ay contingency plan, pangalawa, ilang linggo nang ipinatupad ni Governor Edcel Grex Lagman ang decampment sa lahat ng evacuation centers sa paligid ng bulkan. Tiniyak rin ng mga kinauukulang local government unit na ligtas na gamitin ang mga voting center sa loob ng 6 PDZ. Kinatigan rin ito ng mga opisyal ng barangay sa lugar at Department of Education.

Dagdag pa ni Valeza, convenient ito para sa mga botante, upang hindi sila malito at hindi sila ma-disenfranchised at matiyak ng komisyon na makakaboto ang mga ito.

Sabi pa niya, makakatipid rin ang komisyon sa nasabing desisyon.

Narito ang bilang ng mga registered voter sa loob ng 6 permanent danger zone ng bulkan:

Sa Camalig ay may apat na barangay na kinabibilangan ng Anoling, Quirangay, Sua, at Tumpa, kung saan may registered voters na 7,248.

Sa Daraga may tatlong barangay, ito ay ang mga barangay ng Banadero, Matnog at Miisi kung saan may registered voters na 4,926.

Sa Malilipot, may pitong barangay, may registered voters na 18,431. Ito ang mga barangay ng Calbayog, Canaway, San Roque, San Jose, Brgy. Poblacion 1, Brgy. Poblacion 2, at Brgy. Poblacion 3.

Sa lungsod ng Tabaco may dalawang barangay, may registered voters na 3,744. Ito ang mga barangay ng Buang at Magapo. | ulat ni Nancy Mediavillo | RP1 Albay
