Pinasalamatan ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ang Department of Budget and Management (DBM) sa pagtitiyak nitong mapopondohan ang Walang Gutom 2027: Food Stamp Program (FSP) sa susunod na taon.
Matatandaang sinabi ng DBM na aprubado na ang anim na bilyong pisong pondo para sa inplementasyon ng flagship program ng administrasyong Marcos.
Ayon kay DSWD Usec. Edu Punay, nakipagpulong na ito sa DBM para sa budgetary requirements ng programa.
“We already met with the Department of Budget and Management and they committed to provide for the financial budgetary requirements of the program. So, we’re very happy that this will be implemented next year,” DSWD Undersecretary for Innovations Eduardo Punay.
Dahil naman dito, inaasahan ng DSWD na mas marami pang mahihirap na pamilya ang tiyak na makikinabang sa programa.
“Ang ating projected budget po next year, for the second half po ng ating implementation…matatapos iyong pilot natin. May at June ang ating review, and then July na iyong implementation natin noong 300,000 scale-up and that will require us 6 billion pesos in budget po next year,” Usec. Punay
Sa kasalukuyan, ipinatutupad ng DSWD ang FSP sa Tondo, Manila at Dapa, Siargao, habang ang full roll out nito ay ikakasa sa San Mariano sa Isabela; Gato De Rena sa Camarines Sur at Parang sa Maguindanao sa buwan ng Disyembre. | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
