Sa press briefing sa Malacañang, sinabi ni DFA Usec. Eduardo de Vega na ang ikatlong nasawi ay isang 49-anyos na babae, at tubong Negros Occidental.
“I regret to inform you that, yes, it is confirmed – there is a third Filipino casualty. A 49-year-old woman from Negros Occidental. Her family is aware, the President is aware and the Philippine government of course is working with the family. The embassy in Israel is in touch with the sisters who are in Kuwait actually for the repatriation of remains.” —Usec. Vega.
Ayon sa opisyal, ang biktima ay isa sa mga dumalo sa music festival sa malapit sa Gaza Strip noong umatake ang Hamas.
Ayon sa opisyal, ang labi ng biktima ang una nang inanusyo ng pamahalaan na kinukumpirma ang pagkakakilanlan sa pagsailalim sa DNA testing.
Ayon sa opisyal, naipabatid na ng pamahalaan sa pamilya ng biktima dito sa Pilipinas ang sinapit ng kanilang kaanak.
