Mayroong hanggang October 10 ang small committee na binuo ng Kamara para tapusin ang lahat ng individual amendments sa House Bill 8980 o 2024 General Appropriations Bills.
Ayon kay House Appropriations Committee Chair at AKO BICOL Party-list Representative Elizaldy Co, nagkaroon na ng paunang pulong ang small committee nitong Martes, October 3.
Marami aniya ang budget items na nakalinya para sa amyeda at realignment at kabilang dito ang paglilipat ng Confidential at Intelligence Fund ng iba’t ibang civilian agencies.
“As authorized by the House and consistent with parliamentary precedent, the small committee has until October 10, 2023 to finish its task. Since the proposed amendments are of great interest to media and the Filipino people, we shall announce the changes at the proper time,” ayon kay Rep. Co.
Aminado si Co na naka-antabay ang media at maging ang publiko sa naturang mga amyenda.
Kaya naman pang-unawa ang hiling nito sa lahat habang tinatapos nila ang kanilang trabaho.
Pagsisiguro nito na oras na maisapinal ang mga amyenda ay ilalabas nila ito at isasapubliko.
“In the meantime, please bear with us and allow us to perform our assigned tasks as mandated by the House of Representatives,” sabi pa ni Co.
