Kaso ng mga Influenza-like Illness (ILI), tumaas ayon sa DOH

Nakikitaan ng Department of Health (DOH) sa huling tala nito na tumataas ang mga kaso ng Influenza-like Illness (ILI) sa bansa.

Ayon sa DOH, nitong Oktubre, may kabuuang 151,375 na kaso ng ILI ang naitala sa buong bansa. Ito ay 45% na mas mataas kumpara sa parehong panahon noong nakaraang taon, kung saan mayroon lamang naitalang 104,613 cases. Sinabi rin ng DOH na tumaas ng 26% ang kaso ng ILI kumpara sa nakaraang buwan.

Ipinaliwanag ng DOH na ang pagtaas ng kaso ng ILI ay dahil sa pagsisimula ng tag-ulan at mas malamig na mga buwan, na isang kondisyon ayon sa ahensya para sa pagkalat ng mga respiratory virus.

Kaya naman inaasahan pa nito ang pagtaas ng mga kaso ng ILI sa mga susunod na buwan.

Idinagdag din ng DOH na ang mas mataas na bilang ng kaso ngayong taon ay dahil sa mas pinabuting pagsubaybay at pag-uulat ng iba pang mga sakit, habang nalilipat ang pokus ng bansa mula sa COVID-19. | ulat ni EJ Lazaro
