Limang dayuhang walang kaukulang dokumento arestado ng BI sa Palawan

Arestado ng mga kawani ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang limang foreign nationals sa iba’t ibang bahagi sa Palawan matapos mapag-alaman na nagtatrabaho ang mga ito sa bansa ng walang mga kaukulang dokumento.

Batay sa ulat ng BI, walang naipakitang kaukulang mga dokumento ang mga dayuhan na naaresto na bunga ng mga intelligence report na nakalap ng ahensya.

Sa isinagawang koordinasyon katuwang ang intelligence units ng pamahalaan, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), at National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), naaresto ang dalawang Chinese nationals, na sina Lin Yongzhen at Zhang Haicong, sa El Nido.

Habang sa Taytay, Palawan ay nadampot sina Zhang Haicong na isa ring Chinese National at Taiwanese national na si Lin Tsung-Te.

Dagdag pa rito, ang isang Zhang Jinfei na inaresto naman sa Puerto Princesa.

Sinasabing ilan sa mga nadampot na dayuhan ay nagtatrabaho sa bansa sa kabila ng tourist visa lamang ang hawak nito habang ang iba ay may hawak pang Philippine driver’s license kung saan nakasaad na Filipino ang kanilang naturang nationality.

Ayon pa sa ulat ng BI, ang mga nabanggit na indibidwal ay kaugnay ng isang Chinese crime group sa Palawan na sangkot sa mga ilegal na gawain tulad ng wildlife trade at pagtulong sa ilegal na pagpasok ng mga undocumented Chinese nationals sa bansa.

Sila ngayon ay nahaharap sa kaso ng paglabag sa Philippine immigration act at naghihintay ng kanilang deportation proceedings. | ulat ni EJ Lazaro
