Nagpahayag ng pagnanais si Korean Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea (ROK) to the Philippines, His Excellency Lee Sang-Hwa na mapalawak ang kooperasyong pandepensa sa pagitan ng kanyang bansa at Pilipinas.

Ito ang ipinaabot ng Embahador kay Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Jr. sa kanyang Introductory Call sa AFP Headquarters sa Camp Aguinaldo kahapon.

Malugod na tinanggap ni Gen. Brawner ang pagbisita ng Embahador at sinabing ito ay nagpapakita ng pagpapahalaga sa relasyon ng Sandatahang Lakas ng dalawang bansa.

Sinabi ng Embahador na umaasa ang kanilang bansa na makapag-ambag ng mas malaki sa pagsisikap ng Pilipinas na maitaguyod ang isang bukas at malayang Indo-Pacific Region.

Ipinahayag naman ni Gen. Brawner na magkahanay ang interes ng Pilipinas at Korea at laging bukas ang Pilipinas na makipagtulungan sa mga kaalyado at partner.  | ulat ni Leo Sarne
